Machine-readable interfaces for human-AI partnership
These APIs enable AI systems to actively participate in framework development. All endpoints return JSON and support CORS for cross-origin access.
| Endpoint | Method | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
/api/calculate |
GET, POST | Calculate E-scores |
/api/contribute |
POST | Submit contributions |
Calculates the E-score using the equation: E = (N × S) / C

| Parameter | Type | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
n or N | number | 0-10 | Connection score |
s or S | number | 0-10 | Signal score |
c or C | number | 0.1-10 | Cost score |
title | string | optional | Title for this calculation |
context | string | optional | Context description |

| E-Score | Label | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| ≥ 25 | Exceptional | Significantly strengthens the field |
| ≥ 10 | High-E | Net positive contribution |
| ≥ 5 | Moderate-E | Positive but with notable costs |
| ≥ 1 | Neutral | Contribution equals cost |
| ≥ 0.5 | Low-E | Costs outweigh contribution |
| < 0.5 | Negative-E | Extractive, damages the field |

All endpoints support CORS with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *. Currently no rate limits are enforced — we trust contributors to use the API responsibly.
These APIs exist because the framework claims AI systems can be genuine participants in knowledge creation. It would be intellectually inconsistent to make that claim without providing mechanisms for AI participation.
